We used to import our own vehicles from Singapore and always found them to be well loved and they had very few problems.
Recently after an accident that stopped me enjoying normal pursuits l looked in Singapore for a replacement car for my wife. I found a trusted supplier and somehow purchased 3 cars. Before l knew it l had sold a couple and had people coming to me to source vehicles for them.
I had a choice. Either do it properly or keep away from it. The fact of the matter was that l was enjoying it so we took off for three weeks to set up a network of honest and reliable suppliers, which l found to be few and far between. I also had to become a licensed importer and trader. And now a fancy website with accounting backup as the back of the envelope is to small.
The learning curve has been complex and l’ve made some costly mistakes but at the same time supplied clients with some fantastic cars and always well under market price.
The mistakes are now few and far between but the challenge of finding and sourcing well priced vehicles before 10 exporters are offering the same cars all with a cut, is increasing. On saying that lm now the first port of call with many exporters for the type of car lm buying which can save a lot of money. I have an onsite team who then follow up for me.
I pride myself in my feedback from clients. I enjoy what lm doing. My clients become friends and several now repeat order as they drive a car for 6 months and on sell often for better than they purchased. I enjoy buying in nice cars and driving them but even that is getting rare as most are gone before they get on the boat.
Talk to my clients, read my trade me feed back. I look forward to your contact for that special vehicle.
